Let's laugh at the kids instead of crying over them for a while, shall we?

Ally has a habit of "figuring things out" for herself and then quizzing us on the answers.

Ally: Do you know why Naomi and Marisa live with Grandma?
Me: Yes, do you?
Ally: Their mom died.
Me: not really. Their mom is Aunt Christy. She's not dead.
Ally: Then why do they live with grandma?
Me: Well, their mom doesn't take very good care of them. Grandma does, so they live with her.

later...

Grandma Jan: Ally, do you know why Naomi and Marisa live with me?
Ally: Because their mom doesn't care good care of them?
Grandma Jan: Their mom has made some pretty bad choices. Until she learns to make good choices, the girls stay here.
Ally: Because she's dumb?

At the water park the other day, Anya had a wonderful time sliding down the white slides that 2 weeks ago, she swore she'd never be brave enough to try. And after 20 or so, she made me stop catching her at the bottom. She gets braver every day.

I love that she has a baby with her. Emily would KILL to be able to take her babies with her to the water park, alas, Emily's "daughter" Purple Baby has a cloth body and well, that just doesn't work with water. :)
